Salisbury yard waste drop off sites now open

Food truck Thursdays are back! Every Thursday 4-8 p.m. May 5 through Oct. 27, various food trucks will line the parking lot of the South Mall, 3300 Lehigh St., Allentown, for your dining pleasure. No word yet on which trucks are coming, but I’ll keep you posted!

One last reminder about the Pennsylvania System of School Assessments coming up. For students in grades 3-8, the English and Language Arts portion of the tests will be April 25-27. The math portion will be May 2 and 3 and the science portion for students in grades 4 and 8, will be May 4 and 5. We’ve got this!

The next two T-shirt days at Salisbury Elementary School are April 22 and May 6.

High school spring sports are in full swing. If you are looking for something to do on a sunny afternoon, check out the Salisbury website under “athletics and student activities” for a schedule of when and where our teams are playing.

If high school sports are not your thing, Salisbury Youth Association has opening day April 30 at Laubach Park. From T-ball to Biddy baseball, there will be games most of the day. Come out and watch a game.

Salisbury Township yard waste drop off sites are now open. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

The Franko Farm site will be open April 21, 23 and May 2.

The Devonshire site will be open April 25, 28 and 30.
