North Catasauqua: Historic presentation to be held April 19 at library

Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association will be giving a presentation on the Davies and Thomas Company of Catasauqua 7 p.m. April 19 at the Public Library of Catasauqua, 302 Bridge St.

The presentation covers the accomplishments of the company.

The next North Catasauqua Recreation Committee meeting will be held April 20.

Summer events will be held at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St.

Scheduled band concerts include 99 Stringz, 7 p.m. June 22; Amish Outlaws, 7 p.m. July 10; and Steel Creek, 7 p.m. Aug. 24.

Family night will be held Aug. 17.

The recreation committee asks the public to come out to support these community events.

Reminder: The library will celebrate Earth Day by planting seeds 2-5 p.m. April 18 and 19 in the downstairs area of the main library.

This activity is free to all. Catasauqua Garden Club will be there to help.

Catty Seniors Plus will meet 1 p.m. April 27.

Doors open noon.

Kim Garrison, from Aging in Place, will provide the dates for the senior expo, followed by coffee and bingo.
