Honoring a fallen officer

PRESS PHOTO BY JIM MARSH A hearse carrying the body of Lebanon City police officer Lt. William Lebo crosses under an aerial American flag salute staged by Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company. Lebo lost his life in the line of duty March 31 when a man suspected of breaking into a family member's home opened fire on responding officers. Lebo was one month away from retirement when he was killed. An autopsy was conducted on the officer at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Scores of police cars with lights flashing formed a procession to escort Lebo to a Lebanon funeral home April 2.
