At 9 p.m. Jan. 18, State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, responded to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for a report of an assault on a 12-year-old female that allegedly occurred at KidsPeace, 5300 KidsPeace Drive, North Whitehall Township.

According to police in a Jan. 20 update, initial interviews and investigation indicated there were approximately 10 juvenile females involved in the physical assault of the female teen.

However, upon further investigation and review of surveillance footage that was not initially available, it was determined there was one primary alleged juvenile aggressor who was responsible for the female’s injuries, police say.

Police say the physical altercation occurred between the teen and the single aggressor.

After KidsPeace staff separated the two parties, there were approximately seven other juveniles who allegedly were verbally provoking the involved parties, police say.

According to police, two of these individuals allegedly made physical contact with the teen after the initial assault, but did not cause injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by state police and Kids- Peace, which is cooperating with the investigation, police say.
