Black Excellence: Teaching the Next Generation, lunch: 11:30 a.m., program with Dr. Hasshan Batts, Robin H. Alozie, M.Ed. and Curtis Buie, fifth grade educator, noon. Dr. Martin Luther King Civil Rights Movement March, rain or shine. 11:30 a.m. in front of the St. Bernard’s Beneficial Society, 333 Brodhead Ave. Proceed to Dr. King and his wife Coretta Scott King memorials, Martin Luther King Park, Carlton Avenue, Guest speakers: Bethlehem Mayor J. William Reynolds and Northampton County Councilman Kerry Myers. All residents, municipal employees, community groups, and law enforcement agencies are invited to attend the event. Participants are encouraged to wear facial masks.

All Bethlehem Public Library locations are closed in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Many government and other buildings are closed.
