NORCO HEALTH DEPARTMENT: At the Jan. 6 County Council meeting, Lamont McClure announced a proposal to study the creation of a County Health Bureau. The current pandemic has shown the importance of organizations which can coordinate information and deliver services to promote and improve public health. A Request for Proposal (RFP) was released Jan. 7 to non-county affiliated academic institutions and hospital systems to determine if a Health Bureau is needed and, if the answer is ‘yes,’ how to establish one.
