CEDARBROOK SENIOR CARE AND REHAB – Fountain Hill and Allentown invites you to become a member of their auxiliary. This group raises money to purchase special things for residents throughout the year. It’s easy to join and fun to be a part of this amazing group. They are currently looking for new members and will begin having monthly meetings in 2022. GRACEDALE NURSING HOME, Nazareth, needs help un-decorating Christmas trees. Once the hustle and bustle of the holidays are over, the decorations must come down to prepare for a new season. They’ll be undecorating the over 30 Christmas trees starting 9:30 a.m. Jan. 3, 2022. The minimum age to help is 14. All volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. HISPANIC CENTER LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem, is looking for volunteers to assist with food prep, serving and interacting with seniors and keeping the kitchen space neat and organized. No habla español? HISTORIC BETHLEHEM MUSEUMS & SITES is seeking volunteers to help at the visitor center an Goundie House with answering questions, monitoring the Trees of Historic Bethlehem and restocking/bagging merchandise. NORTHAMPTON CO. HISTORICAL & GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY, Easton, needs visitor services representatives to welcome tourists and local guests, provide information about the organization’s programs and services and provide information and assistance regarding activities and events in the surrounding communities. PHOEBE ALLENTOWN HEALTH CARE CENTER needs lots of volunteers for various Christmas holiday parties and activities and the annual bingo marathon and New Year’s Eve party. Assistance needed for transporting the residents for scheduled entertainment 1-4 p.m. Dec. 22 and 24. The bingo marathon begins 1-4 p.m. Dec. 27, 28, 29 and Jan. 1, 2022. The New Year’s Eve party begins 1-4 p.m. Dec. 31. Adults only. Groups welcome. All volunteers must follow COVID-19 rules and wear a mask. THE SALVATION ARMY, Allentown, needs bell ringers for the Red Kettle Campaign at various locations – indoors or outdoors – in Allentown to help raise the funds needed for year-round programs like the food pantry, holiday toys for families and sheltering for the homeless. TURNING POINT OF LEHIGH VALLEY is looking for a group of three to four people with two minivans/SUVs/pickup trucks to pick up and load their order on the second Tuesday of every month at Second Harvest Food Bank in Nazareth between noon and 3 p.m. and then drop off at a location about 15 miles toward the Bethlehem area and unload.
