Around 11:12 p.m, Nov. 17, patrol officers observed a vehicle traveling on Center Street a suspended registration and initiated a traffic stop a short. The driver of the vehicle informed officers that a loaded firearm was in the vehicle’s glovebox. Three occupants in the vehicle were directed to exit the vehicle, at which time officers observed narcotics in plain view inside the vehicle.

The three occupants were detained, and officers secured the vehicle and applied for a search warrant. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed two loaded firearms (one of which was reported stolen), cocaine, multiple Ecstasy pills, heroin, marijuana and other paraphernalia consistent with narcotics distribution. Additionally, one of the vehicle occupants was prohibited from possessing firearms as a result of prior criminal convictions.

Quan Waly Taylor and Quayon R. Petty of Allentown, and Jarmando Gio-Vanni Lockhart of Fountain Hill are variously charged with possession of firearms and drugs and receiving stolen property.
