EHS names student of the week

Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.

Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. My family is my mom, Pia, my brother Dahlin, my sister Alex and my dad, George.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject is history because it’s interesting. It gives us insight into our past and how we evolved as a species. I particularly enjoy military history because it informs political and economic decisions as well as technological development.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I received the Computer Science Award at Emmaus High School last year. And I also received in ninth grade the soccer JV Coach’s Award at Moravian Academy.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A. My focus is karate. I am a black belt and practice at Hoover Karate Academy. I played soccer at Moravian my ninth and 10th grade years and ran cross-country in my junior year.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge was transferring to Emmaus High School between sophomore and junior year during COVID-19. It was especially difficult because I went straight into virtual school for most of the first half of the first year.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. I’d like to go to college because I want to study history and maybe environmental science.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I admire Emperor Augustus. He took the failing Roman Republic after Cesar’s assassination and formed the Roman empire that lasted the next 500 years. And that’s impressive.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to not be remembered.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. My advice to my peers is know yourself.
