Lehigh Christian Academy names new principal

Lehigh Christian Academy recently announced Laura E. Martina as principal for the 2021-2022 school year.

Lehigh Christian Academy is a pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, private Christian school.

The new move allows Elizabeth Hauser, the present principal and head of school, to devote more time as head of school on matters of school growth and vision, branding and development.

Martina holds a Master in Education degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Scranton and an undergraduate degree in elementary education and art from Moravian University.

Martina will oversee teacher observations and evaluations, student discipline, academic programming, schedules and planning, parent communication and conferences and student life and services.

“We are very excited about Laura, a former LCA teacher, returning to our school to advance our academic areas. She brings great insights and expertise to us as our new principal,” Hauser said in a media release announcing Martina’s new position at the school.

Martina taught fifth grade at LCA in 2018 prior to living abroad in Italy for a year.

From 2009-2011, Martina taught third and fourth grade at Bethlehem Christian School. From 2015-2018, Martina returned to BCS to teach second and fourth grades and kindergarten.

Martina resides in Bethlehem.
