North Catasauqua: The Clap performs July 30

North Catasauqua Recreation Committee’s next concert will be held 7-10 p.m. July 30 at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St. The Clap will be performing, along with special guests.

99 Stringz Trio will perform 7 p.m. Aug. 11.

The next Catty Seniors Plus meeting will be held July 28 at Slovak Center Social Club, Fifth and Grove streets. The doors will open noon, and the meeting begins 1 p.m.

North Catasauqua Betterment Committee is happy to report the North Catasauqua small Town USA carnival was a success. Committee members would like to thank sponsors Daku Auto Body, A&A Limousine, Force One Towing and Marc’s Auto, along with all of the volunteers who helped.

The betterment committee was able to donate $5,130 toward police body cameras.

The Autumnfest and car show is planned for 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 10 at the park. There will be food, live music, crafts and a flea market.

Toys for Tots will be holding a toy drop, or attendees can make a monetary donation to help a child this holiday season.

The rain date will be Oct. 16.

Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., will be open 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays in August, in addition to the current business hours of 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Mondays-Fridays.

In September, hours will be 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.
