Garrett is a member of Boy Scout Troop 80, which is based in St. Ann Church in Emmaus. The official date Deppe earned Eagle rank is Dec. 6, 2020. Deppe is a member of the Class of 2022 at Emmaus High School.

Garrett T. Deppe's Eagle project is a buddy bench with pergola and flower boxes at Alburtis Elementary School. Buddy benches encourage children to make friendships by offering a neutral place for potential friends to meet. During his time with Troop 80, Deppe's positions have included senior patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader, patrol leader, scribe and instructor. Craig Deppe, Garrett's father, is Scoutmaster of Troop 80.
