Hats on for Mayfair 2021

The Large Flowerheads, BC Combo, The Sofa Kings and Central City Orchestra, were among the music groups that serenaded festival-goers at the 2021 Mayfair Festival of the Arts at Cedar Crest College.

The annual the-day Memorial Day weekend celebration of the arts was canceled in 2020 because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Organizers of the May 28-30 free event encouraged attendees to follow mask wearing and other COVID protocols while on the college’s Allentown campus.

Despite the cold, cloudy skies, and intermittent rain, folks still turned out to savor the music, visual artists, crafters and festival fare. It was the first major Lehigh Valley in-person event during the easing of COVID-19 restrictions.

The Lehigh Valley Press and Times News were among event sponsors.
