Daniel Jablonski, of Coplay, manages the game table outside, where kids could spin the wheel and receive a prize.
Janice Pitkin, library assistant, helps Norah Wilson, of Whitehall, fill out the summer reading challenge form and explains every 60 minutes of reading earns her a scratch-off ticket, with winning tickets redeemable for prizes. Norah's family cat, Gracie, won the library's mascot challenge for the month of August.
Prugal band members Kati Miller, of Whitehall, and Steve Pruden, of Catasauqua, entertainment guests at the library event. Other program activities and goodies included sidewalk chalk, raffles and soft pretzels and drinks. The summer reading challenge ends Aug. 28, so there is plenty of time to sign up.
