Bath Farmers Market organizers preparing for 14th year

Bath Farmers Market opens for its 14th year May 14.

Carol Bear-Heckman, market leader and borough council member, said she is excited about the 2021 edition of the market. She, along with her other market leadership team members, Tracy Berger-Carmen and Sarah Fulton, are ready to go.

There is a new overall sponsor for 2021 - Keystone Cement Company - according to Bear-Heckman.

The market is planned for 3-6 p.m. at Keystone Park, Green Street. It will run through September and possibly into October, weather and vendor permitting.

“We are a rain-or-shine market. The only way we close is if there is lightning,” Bear-Heckman said.

Multiple, varied vendors are again expected. Food trucks have been lined up, along with a spirits truck, which serves food and alcoholic beverages.

Bath Farmers Market also features activities throughout the season, such as a Miss Strawberry contest, the Great Bath Duck Race, a scarecrow contest and monthly activities for kids.

The 2021 plan includes increased hand-washing stations, masks and social distancing. Leaders boast a brick-and-mortar restroom for guests.

Bear-Heckman said she is looking forward to another successful market season and anticipates more activities for attendees.
