Northampton: Assembly of God plans to hold special services

Pastor James Trantham Jr. and the congregation of Northampton Assembly of God, 3449 Cherryville Road, invite the public to special services, set for 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. May 2 and 7:30 p.m. May 3-6.

The speaker will be the Rev. Jonathan Coffman, pastor of Restoration in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Services will also be streamed live on the church’s Facebook page.

Reminder: The Spring Thaw Rendezvous will be 12:30-7 p.m. May 1 at Tri-Boro Sportsmen Club, 21st and Canal streets. It will be held rain or shine.

Highlights of the day include a bike show, food and drinks (cash bar), vendor displays and a 50-50 drawing. DJ Hammer will entertain. Live entertainment is also planned.

Admission is free.

Northampton Area Food Bank, 1601 Canal St., will be holding food distributions 5-7 p.m. April 29.

Bring a photo ID with a current address or your ID and a bill with the correct address. You should reside in Northampton Area School District or check with the food bank by phone Wednesday mornings. You will need names and birth dates of everyone living with you full time.

The food bank is open 9:30 a.m.-noon every Wednesday for registration, questions and donation drop-offs.
