The iconic fairy tale gallops to the stage in “Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Enchanted Edition),” 7 p.m. April 22, 23, and 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. April 24, auditorium, Salem Christian School, 8031 Salem Bible Church Road, Macungie.

Live-stream passes are available for 7 p.m. April 22 and 24.

With music by Richard Rodgers and book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, the musical, inspired by the 1997 ABC-TV teleplay by Robert L. Freedman, was adapted by Tom Briggs.

Director Yana Reinhard is assisted by Music Director Jane Rivera and Student Choreographers Madison Evans and Cadie Geyer.

The musical received a 1997 Primetime Emmy Award of seven nominations.

Musical numbers include “The Prince Is Giving a Ball,” “Ten Minutes Ago,” “Impossible” and “Stepsister’s Lament.”
