Allentown Central Catholic High School celebrates basketball victory.

On April 5, Central Catholic held an Easter Mass, followed by a celebration honoring the boys basketball team for being the state champions.

The celebration opened with the Allentown Central Catholic High School drum line and the Vikette cheerleaders, followed by speeches from principal Randall Rice, longtime ACCHS science teacher and high school basketball fan John Rosenberger and others.

Allentown’s Mayor Ray O’Connell declared April 7 as Appreciation Day in the City of Allentown for the ACCHS boys basketball team.

Students celebrated with a green and gold spirit dress down day in honor of the Viking basketball team 2021 state champions.

On April 1, campus ministry held a church hopping retreat in celebration of Holy Thursday. Students who attended visited the churches of St. Thomas More, Allentown, the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown, St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay, Queenship of Mary, Northampton, St. John Fisher Catholic Church, Catasauqua, Holy Infancy Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem and Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
