Coplay: Borough seeking part-time workers

Coplay Borough has two openings for part-time help in the public works department this summer. The jobs run May through August for 30 hours a week.

The borough is also still seeking lifeguards, a person or group to operate the Coplay Parkway Pool concession stand during 2021 and a pavilion cleaner.

The Coplay Scholarship Fund Committee, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, is planning a virtual reorganization meeting in April.

Founded in 2000, the CSFC has given thousands of dollars in scholarship awards to Coplay students planning to attend a university, college, technical school or police academy.

A blanket ministry has begun at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St.

St. John’s Lutheran Church’s 2021 picnic committee is planning a fun, inspirational, in-person church picnic July 25 at the Coplay pavilion, Second and Keefer streets.

The IRT’s 2021 historical walks are being planned. The walks begin 9 a.m. at the barn on Chestnut Street and last about three hours. Dates will be announced soon.
