Kenneth Dale Magee

Kenneth Dale Magee, 78, of Bethlehem, died March 19, 2021, at St. Luke’s University Hospital, Bethlehem. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, he was a son of the late Archie and Juanita Magee. He was the husband of Hattye Magee for 56 years.

He was a graduate of Fair Park High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Centenary College, Shreveport; and a MBA from Lehigh University.

He was a business executive with Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, from 1977 to 1998 and was for 15 years a vice president of Parts Operations. He later was a supply chain consultant for companies such as Samsung. He was earlier a controller for Crane Carrier Company, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and an accountant with Peat Marwick Mitchell. He was a licensed CPA.

He was a long-time member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Bethlehem, where he was a vestry member and was a lay reader. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Allentown, for more than 25 years, serving in many leadership roles including senior warden, lay reader and Sunday school teacher.

He was a longtime board member of the Housing Association and Development Corporation. He provided HADC volunteer computer and IT support.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Lisa (Michael) Lawless, Jason Magee, John (Amanda) Magee, Laura Rowe (Brian Fairchild), Sarah Magee (Matthew Reinhart); two siblings, David (Jan) Magee and Karen (Gary) Tiemann; 12 grandchildren, Jason Monteverde, Christian Rowe, Jordan Lawless, Mikayla Rowe, Dunning Arent, Jake Magee, Connor Magee, Bryson Reinhart, Molly Magee, Brayden Reinhart, Blaise Reinhart and Blake Reinhart; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased an older infant sister, Laura Magee; and two former sons-in-law, Robb Arent and Christopher Rowe. and a large extended family of in-laws.
