Howard L. Hamm

Howard L. Hamm, 86, of Whitehall, died Feb. 15, 2021, at his daughter’s home. He was the husband of the late Arlene B. Hamm for 30 years.

Born in Lynnport, he was a son of the late Milton W. and Pearl F. (Hemerly) Hamm. He and his twin sister were raised by the late Charles and Nellie Frey.

He was 1952 graduate of Slatington High School.

He was in the U.S. Army.

He retired in 1994 from the former Western Electric, Allentown, after 42 years.

He was a lifetime member of Jacob’s Church, New Tripoli, where he was a former treasurer and councilman, sang on the choir and helped at church events.

He was a bowler at the Bocce Club and at Hampton Lanes.

He is survived by a twin sister, Pearl F. Follweiler of Kempton; a daughter, Melissa with Karl Rentzheimer of Laurys Station; a son, Mark with Kris Hamm of Slatington; a stepdaughter, Deanna Walker and her partner Millie Jones of San Diego, Calif.; two stepsons, Bill with Pam Barnes of Milpita, Calif., and Dave with Holly Barns of Barto; four grandchildren, Kaiti, Brett, Dustin and Morgan; four great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Nevin, Morris and Paul Hamm.
