Legacy Oaks at Lehigh Valley, a residential community of 112 individually-owned homes for active adults 55 and older located on 32 acres in Lower Macungie Township, lights up the neighborhood with luminaries Dec. 23, 2020. This activity was the idea of Rosann Behringer, chairman of the social committee. Volunteers Carol Collins and Elaine Smith spearheaded the project. “We have a very active community and we like it that way,” Behringer said.

There were two luminaries in front of each home and approximately 24 luminaries around the clubhouse and the entry to the community. The following morning, volunteers collected the luminaries for use next year. Each volunteer handled a street or part of a street. The luminaries were paid for by the board of directors.
