To the Editor:

I am grateful to South Whitehall’s Board President Tori Morgan, and Commissioners Joe Setton and Matthew Mobilio for putting the township first, and passing this year’s budget with no tax increase.

I am truly happy that during these tough times we didn’t need to increase taxes.

Commissioners Dianne Kelly and Michael Wolk chose to vote against the budget, which would have defunded all of South Whitehall’s hardworking employees.

This past year, commissioners did amazing work in our community.

They added a playground to Covered Bridge Park and are renovating the municipal building and our library.

These are things that make South Whitehall, one of the most desired communities in the Lehigh Valley.

We’re divided enough as a country as is, and when it comes to the future of our township and our employees, we shouldn’t play games, we should be serious about solutions.

South Whitehall is fortunate to have Commissioners Morgan, Setton and Mobilio guiding the township in a responsible and reasonable way.

They deserve our continued support in the years ahead.
