Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., is now closed because the number of positive COVID-19 cases is going up. The decision to close was made for the welfare of the shop’s volunteers.

It will tentatively reopen March 2021. The owner apologizes for any inconvenience.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., will hold the next Soup on Wednesday event Dec. 30. Takeout soup will be handed out at no charge to anyone who comes.

This initiative continues through Feb. 24, 2021. Each week will feature a different hearty soup.

The time will be from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., or as long as supply lasts.

Volunteers are needed. Give Robin a call at 610-264-2641 if you would like to help with this project.
