Charles “Charley” M. Achenbach, 68, of Bethlehem, died November 17, 2020, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital, Beaumont, Texas. Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Lewis R. and Lottie B. (Baney) Achenbach.

He earned a doctorate in Dentistry.

He was a professor of Anatomy and Physiology at Northampton Community College, Bethlehem, for 35 years before retiring in 2014.

He was a member of Central Moravian Church where he sang on the church choir and was a former member of the Board of Elders.

He is survived by his daughter, Kay L. Achenbach and her husband Gordon Cameron of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, United Kingdom; two brothers, Jesse C. Achenbach and his wife Linda of Daniel Island, South Carolina, and L. Robert Achenbach and his wife Joyce of Pottsville; and a granddaughter, Catriona C. Cameron.
