Sheckler Elementary School continues to celebrate spirit week.

There will be an early dismissal - 1:30 p.m. - Nov. 25. CASD will be closed Nov. 26-30 for Thanksgiving break.

Schools will reopen Dec. 1.

Catasauqua Area School District has adjusted the days for contactless curbside meal pickup. Meals will be offered only 9:45-10:15 a.m. Thursdays in front of Sheckler. There will be five days worth of meals.

The only exception to this schedule is during Thanksgiving week when pickup will be Nov. 24, a Tuesday.

CASD is seeking a full-time second-shift custodian. The starting rate is $11.25, with increase after probation. Health benefits and paid time off will be offered.

Sheckler is in need of three daily substitute teachers to start immediately. A valid Pennsylvania teaching certification is required.

The qualified candidate will report daily 7:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m. This candidate will be required to substitute in kindergarten through fourth-grade classrooms or expressive arts positions, such as music, art, library, gym and STEAM.

The compensation is $130 per day.
