Rough Roundup Boys soccer gets two wins

The boys soccer team lost to Pen Argyl 2-0.

Seth Ford scored both goals for the Knights, both coming in the second half.

The boys got off to a 2-0 lead in the first half and beat Saucon Valley 5-0.

Donovan Ahart and Damian DiPaolo each scored two goals and Jaxon Berrier had one. DiPaolo and Jacob Dove each had assists.

The boys beat Northern Lehigh on Tuesday 2-1.

Derek Troxell scored first off a corner kick to give Catty 1-0 lead. Mason Forstoffer would give Catty a 2-0 lead off a through ball. The Roughs held on for the win after the Bulldogs Josh Souers made it 2-1 late in the game.

The Catty field hockey team lost a close game to Salisbury, 3-2 last week.

For Catasauqua Janessa Ortiz scored a goal as did Lexi Rushatz. Goalkeeper Sophia Becker had 21 saves in the loss and Destany Montanez had a defensive save.

Salisbury got goals from Riley Stauffer, Ella DeFazio and Nevaeh Robinson in the win.

The girls lost to Palmerton 10-0.

Catasauqua goalkeeper Sophia Becker had 19 saves.

Analise Recker had three goals.

The girls soccer team lost 4-2 to Pen Argyl.

Catty had goals from Brielle Davies and Kaylee Weidaw. Taylor Hicks assisted Davies’ goald while Kaitlyn Weiss helped on Weidaw’s goal.

For the Knights, Abigail Wallbillich scored twice and Delaney Porter had two as well.

Palisades defeated Catty 4-1. The Pirates had two goals from K. Schmidt while P. Casterline and S. Odle eached added goals. Schmidt also assisted on two goals to help lead the way.

Catty’s goal was scored by Kelsea Warren and was assisted by Madison Harth.

Northern Lehigh edged Catty 3-2 behind Shaina Mazzocca’s three goals.

Kaylee Weidaw scored both goals for Catty and Emma Hawk assisted on both as well.

In volleyball, the Catty girls fell to Saucon Valley 25-10, 25-17 and 25-5 and also lost to Notre Dame 25-4, 25-4, 25-7.

On Tuesday, the fell to Northwestern 25-1, 25-12, 25-12.
