Good Will Fire Co., police have 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

Good Will Fire Company No. 1, Trexlertown, continued its annual tradition of remembering Sept. 11, 2001, at the fire station on Hamilton Blvd., Upper Macungie.

This year’s sponsors included Upper Macungie Township first responders and police, and Pennsylvania State Police Troop M and Macungie Township.

Gary Mattox, newly appointed fire chief at Good Will Fire Company, was the master of ceremonies.

Fire department member and former fire chief, Steve Oplinger, sang the “Star Spangled Banner,” “The Change” and “God Bless America.”

State Rep. Gary Day, R-187th, shared his thoughts and personal account of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States.
