Mary E. Deiter, 91, of North Catasauqua, died Sept. 19, 2020, in her home. She was the wife of the late Edwin R. Deiter.

Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Marion (Moyer) Strohl.

She was a machine operator in the garment industry for various companies during her career.

She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Catasauqua.

She was a member of the Northampton Senior Center.

She is survived by a daughter, Joanne; a son, Edwin and his wife Sue; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Delores Eckhart, Freida Haydt and Geraldine Kuehner; two brothers, Richard and Donald Strohl; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Barry; three sisters, Virginia, Verletta and Marion; and a brother, Edgar.
