James C. Heintzelman

James C. Heintzelman, 70, of Schnecksville, died peacefully Sept. 9, 2020, in his home.

He and his wife, Joan M. (Daniel) Heintzelman, were married 43 years on June 4.

Born Dec. 21, 1949, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Carl M. and Marilyn J. (Keener) Heintzelman.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era aboard the USS Newport News CA-148.

A graduate of Penn State University from which he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural mechanization, he later was a sales representative for several farm equipment companies in Pennsylvania from 1977-2007.

His greatest passion was working on the family farm and being co-owner of Greenleaf Farms, Schnecksville.

A member of the Lutheran congregation of Ziegels Union Church, Breinigsville, Slatington Lodge 440, F.&A.M., and Slatington Chapter 292, he was a supporter of the Lehigh Valley Veterans History Project organization.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Bradley D. Heintzelman (Kimberly) of Schnecksville, LaurieAnn J. Heintzelman at home, Gregory J. Heintzelman (Ashley) of Slatington; brother Ronald J. Heintzelman (Gail) of Schnecksville; and grandchildren Kailey, Brayden, Corinne and Natalie.
