Reminding us to ‘Never fortget’

PRESS PHOTO COURTESY TUNNEL TO TOWERS FOUNDATION Last Thursday evening, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation illuminated the sky in western Pennsylvania with a beam of light to honor the lives of the Flight 93 crew and passengers that were lost on Sept. 11, 2001. The Tower of Light (shown with the Flight 93 Memoeial's Tower of Voices) is made up of 40 individual lights, one for each innocent life. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation, founded in honor of fallen FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, organized the ceremony to ensure America continues to honor those who lost their lives to terrorist attacks on 9/11 and to ensure we NEVER FORGET. Last Wednesday, a Tower of Light tribute took place at the Pentagon and on Sept. 11, the foundation hosted an independent memorial ceremony in New York City to allow the victim's families the opportunity to read the names of their lost loved ones. The Tower of Light tributes remained lit until Saturday morning, Sept. 12. For more about the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, please visit tunnel2towers.org.
