Bath: Hot dog, chili event to be held Aug. 14

Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, will be holding a curbside hot dog and fire house chili fest 4-8 p.m. Aug. 14.

On the menu is a plain dog, sauerkraut dog, chili cheese dog with or without onions, hoagie dog, bacon cheese dog, french fries or homemade pierogies, homemade firehouse chili and soda and water. Any hot dog topping can be added to fries or pierogies for an additional cost.

This is a first-come, first-served event. No advance tickets are needed.

Klecknersville Rangers is also planning to hold a chicken and seafood bake 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Aug. 22.

The menu includes a full bake, which is half of a barbecue chicken, fish fillet, a dozen clams, a dozen shrimp, baked potato, corn on the cob, coleslaw and hush puppies; or half bake, with half of a barbecue chicken or fish fillet, baked potato, corn on the cob, coleslaw and hush puppies. Hot dogs will be available.

This is a first-come, first-served event, and no advance tickets are needed.

Knights of Columbus Council 14464 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 210 E. Northampton St., is holding a strudel fundraiser through Mattie’s Strudel Haus.

Orders are being taken through Aug. 24, with delivery planned for Sept. 11.

There are four choices of savory meal strudels in two sizes, 16 inches and 8 inches; and three choices of sweet dessert strudels, also in 16-inch and 8-inch sizes.

Just a reminder to visit the Bath Farmers Market, Keystone Park at Route 329 and Green Street, 3:30-6:30 p.m. Fridays. The market will operate through Sept. 25.

Priority shopping for immunocompromised individuals will be held 3-3:30 p.m., and a personal shopper volunteer will be available to retrieve items for those at risk.
