4-H

Youth ages 8-18 (as of Jan. 1, 2020) are invited to attend one or more of Penn State Cooperative Extension’s 4-H Summer Day Camps.

Opportunities for learning about where your food comes from, computer science, babysitting, fishing, pets, science fun in the kitchen, plant science, and pollinators, and more are available through our virtual camp options.

Each camp will run for four days, Monday-Thursday, from either 9-10:30 a.m. (morning) or 1-2:30 p.m. (afternoon).

These camps are free to currently enrolled 4-H members.

There is a small cost for new 4-H members.

Virtual 4-H Day Camps are:

• From Farm to Fork 4-H Day Camp - July 13-16, morning.

• Computer Science: Think… Plan… Play! 4-H Day Camp - July 13-16, afternoon.

• Babysitting Basics 4-H Day Camp - July 13-16, afternoon.

• Take the Bait and Go Outdoors! 4-H Day Camp - July 20-23, morning

• Pet Parade 4-H Day Camp - July 20-23, afternoon.

• Science Fun in Your Kitchen 4-H Day Camp - July 27-30, morning.

• Plant Science: Growing with 4-H! 4-H Day Camp - July 27-30, afternoon.

• What’s All the BUZZ About? 4-H Day Camp - Aug. 3-6, morning.

In addition, they have 4-H self-guided project sessions available for youth ages 8-18.

• 4-H Summer Sewing for beginner and intermediate sewers - July 6-10.

• Cultured Curiosity 4-H Project - July 13-17.

• Simple Machines- Engineering Design 4-H Project - July 20-24.

• Cloverbud STEM 4-H Project for ages 5 and older to work with an adult or teen - July 27-31.

Many educational and fun activities are offered by 4-H in Pennsylvania.

In Pennsylvania, 4-H is coordinated by Penn State Cooperative Extension through the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
