SALEM CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

Autumn Drovich, a student of Salem Christian School and a resident in the Whitehall-Coplay School District, graduated during Salem Christian School’s 40th commencement June 6 in celebration of the SCS Class of 2020.

This year’s ceremony was quite unique. In the days before the event, the school administration visited the homes of each of the 18 seniors to hold a mini-ceremony, featuring the conferring of the student’s diploma and a time of family prayer.

Footage of these mini-ceremonies was then integrated with the other elements of the commencement program and livestreamed via YouTube.

The event also featured the commencement address of Dr. Penny Clawson and charges from valedictorian Sophie Bauer, salutatorian Sara Nagy, head of school Dr. Mark Stanton and class adviser Mrs. Rebekah Lumsden.
