Q & A ... with Becahi’s Alyssa Brandstetter

Alyssa Brandstetter, senior, Becahi softball, shortstop will be attending Duquesne University.

Q: How would your teammates describe you?

A: “My teammates would describe me as dedicated, hardworking, and a leader.”

Q: How did you keep softball alive while you were not playing on the team?

A: “I’ve been reminiscing about last season with my teammates, and some of the underclassmen decorated my house for what would have been senior night, which was really awesome.”

Q: What is a favorite hit or play you made in the past at Becahi?

A: “Anytime I was able to make a diving play was my favorite.”

Q: What were your personal goals for this season going to be?

A: “This season I was really hoping to be the best leader I could be for my team and contribute in any way possible. I would say a goal of mine would have been to make an all-area team for shortstop.”

Q: What have been your coping mechanisms during this time?

A: “I’ve been working out, spending time with my family, and really just looking forward to the future.”

Q: What is one of your favorite sports stories about Becahi softball?

A: “Our comeback win against Liberty junior year was one of my favorite memories.”

Q: What is the first thing you’d like to do when the quarantine is over?

A: “I’m definitely looking forward to going out to eat with my friends again.”
