Northampton: Roxy Theatre owner honored for 50 years

Northampton Borough Mayor Thomas Reenock has issued a proclamation honoring Richard Wolfe on 50 years as owner of the Roxy Theatre.

“I probably never thought there would be a time I would be here 50 years and that I would be celebrating this milestone with the theater actually closed due to the coronavirus,” Wolfe said.

The Roxy has been closed since March due to Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf’s mandate that non-essential business remain closed until Northampton County reaches the green phase of reopening. The county is currently in the yellow phase.

Reenock encourages residents to recognize Wolfe and thank and congratulate him “for his vital contribution to our communities.”
