Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) ExpressCARE has opened at two new locations, each a former EmergiCenter, 1101 Cedar Crest Boulevard and 1791 Airport Road, both Allentown.

The LVHN ExpressCARE locations provide walk-in care without an appointment for minor illnesses and injuries such as sprains, strains, seasonal allergies, cold, flu, poison ivy-rashes, bronchitis, ear infections and many others. Additionally, the facilities provide x-rays.

Mark Prezioso, PA-C, Assistant Medical Director, Lehigh Valley Physician Group ExpressCARE, says LVHN is not merging with or acquiring the EmergiCenters, but operations are being turned over to LVHN ExpressCARE.

“As much of our staff throughout the health network continues to dedicate themselves in the battle against COVID-19, we also understand the need to provide access to our community for all of their health-care needs,” Prezioso said.

“EmergiCenters have been a staple in our community for almost 30 years. We are excited to be able to offer two additional ExpressCARE sites for our community at these well-established facilities to give patients more ways to receive LVHN care,” said Prezioso.

Prezioso said that neither of the new ExpressCARE locations will operate as a COVID-19 Assess and Test site.
