Annual gala supports hospice meals, scholarships

The Judith Adele Agentis Charitable Foundation (JAACF) sixth annual dinner gala will headline Philadelphia Funk Authority, Saturday, March 21, 6 to 11 p.m., at Steel Club, (formerly Silver Creek Country Club), at 700 Linden Ave., Hellertown.

The evening also includes a cocktail/cabaret hour by Ginger and The Schnappes. live and silent auction of fine art, fashion, travel and once in a lifetime experiences. The venerable Kate Hughes, a popular Lehigh Valley performance artist, will serve as emcee.

The Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors (GLVR) has named Judith Adele Agentis Charitable Foundation as the organization’s charity of choice for 2020. The organization will present a check to JAACF at the dinner.

“We depend on the generosity of Lehigh Valley businesses and supporters,” says Robert Agentis, JAACF founder and chairman.

JAACF has delivered more than 20,000 meals to family members spending precious last moments with a loved one at St. Luke’s Hospice House.

The Judith Adele Agentis Charitable Foundation was the recipient of the P.A. Hospice Network Heart of Hospice Award and was awarded the Shining Star Award from St. Luke’s Hospital Network. In addition to nourishing meals, JAACF will announce new scholarships in palliative care. The nonprofit also provides early cancer detection education for pancreatic, liver and colon cancers.

The live art auction will feature contemporary works by Rigo Peralta, Ward Van Haute, Michael Lebson, and Tina Cantelmi. During and after dinner, the Philadelphia Funk Authority will energize the dance floor.
