Lillian M. Bilger

Lillian M. (Kramer) Bilger, 92, formerly of Alburtis, died Jan. 11, 2020, at Carolyn’s House, Hospice of Central, PA, Harrisburg. She was the wife of the late Donald C. Bilger, who died Sept. 22, 1980. Born in Alburtis, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Irene (Reith) Kramer.

She was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Alburtis, where she was a member of the crafters group and a former Sunday school teacher.

She was employed as a sewing machine operator at the former Royal Manufacturing, Alburtis, for 46 years, retiring when the company closed.

She was a member of the Secret Pal Girls in Alburtis, the Lower Macungie and Alburtis senior citizens groups and was a former Camp Fire Girl member and later a leader.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards and traveling. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the last three years, living in Harrisburg.

She is survived by son, Dennis D. and his wife, Jane Lyons, of Sarasota, Fla. and daughter, Virjean S. and her husband, David R. Dauksha, of Harrisburg; granddaughters, Kimberly J. Dauksha, of Harrisburg and Michelle S. Dauksha, Esq., of Ellicott City, Md.; sister, Madeline I. King, of Hummelstown; one nephew. She was predeceased by a nephew.

Contributions may be made in her memory to the church or Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, 17110.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 11 a.m. Jan. 17 in Church of the Good Shepherd UCC, 135 Quarry Road, Alburtis. A viewing will be held 10:30 to 11 a.m. Jan. 17 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., Topton.
