Lehigh Township: Hope Lutheran Church creating drive-thru VBS program

Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville, is planning a drive-thru Vacation Bible School July 6-10. Each morning will feature a drive-thru adventure, which will include Bible characters, fun and games.

Challenges and themes will change daily. There will be a water day, a stay-in-your-car egg hunt and lots of other creative experiences. Children will receive snacks, take-home crafts and other surprises.

Time slots start 9 a.m. and will continue every 15 minutes. You will be given your assigned time when the church sends out the information letter just before VBS starts.

When you return home, you can go on the church website at your leisure and view an instructional video for your craft of the day, see a Bible lesson with the returning Gilligan’s Island crew, sing along with some of your favorite songs and enjoy recreational activities and experiments.

Visit vbs.hopecherryville.org to register by June 29.

Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville, is holding services 8 a.m. in the church parking lot.

Enter the parking lot from Route 248 and you will be directed where to park. Tune your radio to 106.5 FM as you would during the recent Becky’s Drive-In services. The handicapped bathroom outside of Kuntz Hall will be available for emergencies, but it is best to take care of those needs before arriving. Masks are required for entry.

After the service, you will exit onto Cherry Road.

Members of Hope Lutheran Church want to express appreciation to Becky’s Drive-In for letting the congregation worship there the past 12 weeks.

For more information on services, check the church’s website, hopecherryville.org, or Facebook page, Hope Cherryville, or call the church office at 610-767-7203.
