Holy Trinity Orthodox Catholic Church, 1023 Fifth St., invites the public to attend a special akathist prayer service to the Most Holy Theotokos before her Icon of Pochaev 6 p.m. Nov. 16. The prayer service will be heartfelt and meant for people of all faiths.

Catty Seniors Plus will meet a week earlier than usual because of the Thanksgiving holiday. The meeting starts 1 p.m. Nov. 20 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1223 Fifth St.

Doors open noon.

Back by popular demand is magician Ron Schaffer. Coffee and cake will be served, and bingo will be played.

Reservations will be taken at this meeting for the Dec. 18 Catty Seniors Plus Christmas dinner.
