Reph’s Complete Auto Care, 102 S. Second St., Coplay, celebrated its fifth anniversary Sept. 28 as a business in the borough.

Councilman Steve Burker read a proclamation on behalf of Mayor Dean Molitoris, who was away on business.

Burker also commented on how fortunate the 1-square-mile community is to have a business like Reph’s. Burker spoke about how Coplay does not have the luxury and resources that larger municipalities do, so it is important for the locals to help each other.

When it comes to helping, they support and get involved within the community events and fundraisers, he said. He noted the borough is blessed to have a small but supportive core of business owners, like Danny and Heather Reph, as part of the Coplay community and family.

Danny and Heather Reph consider themselves to be a part of the borough community and volunteer in numerous events such as Coplay Community Days and being on Coplay’s 150th anniversary committee.

The Rephs presented Coplay Fire Department with a check for $600 from money raised during the anniversary celebration. The celebration included a dunk tank, giveaways and free food and refreshments.

“Reph’s Complete Auto Care is a community-minded business that serves the community well,” said Charles Sodl, head of emergency management.

State Rep. Jeanne McNeill, D-133rd, gave Reph’s Complete Auto Care a proclamation for its dedication to the Coplay community.

“I congratulate Dan and Heather on their fifth-year anniversary,” McNeill said. “Coplay is very fortunate to have such a great family-owned business. In addition, the Rephs are always willing to help out and give back to their community. I wish them many more years of success.”

Evan Zilavec, of Bethlehem, makes the drive to Coplay for all his automotive care.

“Dan worked on my Ford truck during the winter out in the cold and did a great job. I highly recommend them,” he said.
