D. Jean Roberts, 91, of Whitehall, died Nov. 2, 2019, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late William J. Roberts Jr.

Born in East Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Esther (Krause) Kernechel.

She was an office clerk for the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union for more than 25 years.

She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Fullerton.

She was a member of the Woman’s Club of Whitehall for many years.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra Johnston and her husband Arthur of Fogelsville; two sisters, Betty Roberts of Whitehall and Joan Ritter of Sellersville; a sister-in-law, Fabianne Kernechel of Whitehall; two grandchildren, Arthur W. Johnston and his wife Jennifer and Dawn Snook and her husband Allen; five great-grandchildren, Molly, Gracie and Jackson Johnston and Lily and William Snook; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Richard Kernechel.

There will be a visitation 10-11 a.m., followed by services 11 a.m., Nov. 8 at the funeral home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville.
