W. Larry Rivers, 77, of Coplay, died Oct. 15, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospice Center, Allentown. He was the husband of Connie Rivers for 55 years.

Born in Chesterfield, S.C., he was a son of the late Cecile (Rivers) Wedde, Julian Rivers, and his stepfather Dr. Theodore Wedde.

He worked at the former Bethlehem Steel for 33 years.

He coached baseball for Coplay Sports.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Cheri and her husband Gino Schneider of Hellertown; a son, Patrick and his wife Kathy of Whitehall; four grandchildren, Jaimie, Nick, Tianna and Patrick; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis of Johnson City, Tenn.

He was predeceased by a brother, Jim.
