Upper Macungie Township police are investigating a hit-and-run in which a pedestrian was struck sometime between 4:40-4:50 a.m. on April 30 across the street from East Penn Self Storage, 8235 Schantz Road.

According to police, Ta’Cory Barr, 29, of Slatington, was walking along the east side of Schantz Road when he was struck by a box truck or tractor trailer/bobtail. Barr suffered an injury to his head, police say.

Police say parts found at the scene were for a passenger side mirror.

Cetronia Ambulance Corps assisted at the scene.
