Police said a fatal motor vehicle accident happened the afternoon of July 24, and they are seeking additional witnesses.

Around 12:24 p.m., officers responded to an accident reported at Stefko Boulevard and Glenwood Street between a Toyota RAV 4 and a motorcycle.

The operator of the Toyota was uninjured. The operator of the motorcycle suffered critical injuries. He was treated at the scene by city rescue personnel and transported to St. Lukes Hospital in Fountain Hill, where he succumbed to his injuries. The death is under investigation by the Lehigh County Coroner’s office.

The Bethlehem Police Department Major Accident Reconstruction Team (M.A.R.T) and the Traffic Unit are investigating the accident.
