Wyatt S. Newhard, 14, of New Tripoli, died Nov. 3, 2018, in Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia after an 11-year battle with neuroblastoma.
Born Sept. 14, 2004, in Allentown, he was the son of Michael S. and Sarah M. (Evert) Newhard with whom he resided.
Wyatt was an eighth-grade student at the Northwestern Lehigh Middle School.
He was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Ziegels Union Church, Breinigsville.
Wyatt loved to play basketball and soccer, and was an avid hunter.
The Lehigh County Sheriff’s Office bestowed on him the honorary title of Junior Deputy for the Day.
In addition to his loving parents, Wyatt is survived by a brother Hunter M. Newhard at home; maternal grandparents Terry L. and Peggy L. (Ruppert) Evert of Germansville; paternal grandmother Doris M. (Holben) Newhard of Bangor; and maternal great-grandmother Mae I. (Roth) Fitzgerald of Germansville.
His funeral services will be 11 a.m. Nov. 9 at Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, with the Rev. Kent W. Rhodehamel officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30-11 a.m. Friday in the church.
Interment will follow the service at the adjacent church cemetery.
