North Catasauqua: Borough’s annual Autumnfest was another success

North Catasauqua Borough Council said the 2018 Best of North Catasauqua Autumnfest was a hit. The car show had 198 cars and drew in a nice crowd.

Northampton Area High School Drama Club will present “Mystery at the Manor” 6:30-10:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at Blue Monkey Sports Bar & Restaurant, 1094 Howertown Road.

You’re invited to help solve the mystery of who killed Lord Heathcliff. Following the show, there will be karaoke.

The ticket price includes the entertainment and a buffet dinner.

Catasauqua Seniors Plus meets 1 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Slovak Center Social Club, 1223 Fifth St.

The speaker will be state Rep. Zach Mako, R-183rd, who is serving his first term in the Pennsylvania House.

The meeting will include an ice cream party, featuring a sundae bar with a variety of toppings. Following the meeting and refreshments, bingo will be played.

Members are asked to bring a donation for the Catasauqua Community Food Bank.

The building is handicapped accessible.

Enrollment of new members is closed at this time.

Porter Lodge No. 284 F&AM, 1103 Sixth St., will host a cash bingo 3 p.m. Oct. 28.

Doors will open 1 p.m., with the kitchen offering food from Grumpy’s BBQ Roadhouse and other items.

A Chinese auction will also be held.

This event provides income for charitable and fraternal activities.
