Michael Slompak, 96, of Macungie, died June 13, 2018. He was married to the late Mildred Slompak. They were married for 64 years. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Stephen and Katherine Slampyak.

He retired in 1986 from Bethlehem Steel, where he worked as a die designer/engineering and in the drop forge department.

He had been a member of St. Andrew’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Allentown.

He honorably served with the U.S. Army during World War II and Korea, reaching the rank of captain in the artillery division.

He is survived by daughters, Carol Ann and her husband Jeff Patton and Barbara and her husband Scott Nyland; grandchildren Lee, Chrissy and Michael; sister, Eleanor Mackey.

Arrangements were made by the Weber Funeral Home, Allentown.
