Lehigh Township Historical Society is holding a basket social 1-4 p.m. April 8 at Blue Mountain Fish and Game, 4190 Wood Drive, Walnutport.

The kitchen will be open.

The basket drawings will begin 4 p.m., and winners will be notified by phone if not present.

Proceeds benefit the Lehigh Township Historical Centre and St. Paul’s Schoolhouse maintenance.

Many beautiful baskets will be raffled off April 13 at the 20th annual spring basket social at Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville.

The walk-in social will start 4 p.m., and the drawing will begin 7:30 p.m. Winners will be notified by phone that same evening.

In honor of the 20th anniversary, there will also be door prizes. Delicious homemade foods, baked goods and other refreshments will be offered for purchase.

Proceeds will benefit the Northampton Area Food Bank and the Hope Lutheran Good Samaritan Fund.

Bethany Wesleyan Church, 675 Blue Mountain Drive, Cherryville, will be holding an autism respite 11 a.m.-3 p.m. April 14.

This is an event for children (2-21 years old) diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as their siblings with or without a diagnosis.

The respite program provides parents a four-hour break, while their child enjoys a day full of fun! Respite care helps maintain family stability and provides opportunities for the child to participate in social activities.
